Qualified Staff

Our team of highly-skilled staff are qualified in their chosen field and have undergone extensive training. They are also accredited by the relevant professional bodies including BACP, BABCP, BAAT and HCPC.

Differing Modalities

At YESS, we recognise and value that everyone is an individual and has differing needs. This is why our staff team have expertise across a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including counselling, art therapy, dance and movement therapy, mindfulness and systemic family practice.

Experienced Staff

Our staff at YESS are highly skilled and have experience of working with a range of presenting issues. They are also happy to liaise with individuals, parents and school staff to provide support and guidance around areas of risk and also protective factors.

Safeguarding

The safety of the people we work with is at the core of what we do. This is why all of our staff have completed safeguarding training for both children and vulnerable adults, and each member of staff is also fully insured and has a clear DBS.

Evidence Based Practice

At YESS, we use evidence based outcome measures to inform us about the impact our service is having. Using routine outcome measures (ROMS) including R-CADS (depression, social anxiety, general anxiety, OCD, and separation anxiety), SDQ (strengths and difficulties questionnaire), Goal Based Outcomes, and ORS (Outcome Rating Scale).

Multi Disciplinary Approach

Our staff recognise the value of a multi-disciplinary approach. We will liaise with school staff, parents & guardians and other professionals, and will contribute to professional meetings as appropriate. We will also provide end of therapy reports to supplement this, when requested.

Established in our Community

YESS have been part of the Uttoxeter community since 2011, supporting thousands of individuals and families in that time. Our hope is that when people in our community think of accessing mental health support, their first thought is to contact us.

Blended approach to delivery

We adapted quickly to the pandemic and have since then been able to offer a blended approach to our sessions, which we hope to continue offering. We deliver sessions face-to-face at our office or within schools we work with, over the phone or via video-conferencing software.

Information, advice and guidance

As well as offering therapeutic support and interventions, YESS are also happy to share our expertise by offering information and guidance. As part of our services, we offer drop-in support, supervision and training packages.
