Meet Sam

Sam is our clinical manager, she oversees our wonderful team of therapists. As well as this, Sam is a fully qualified therapist & supervisor. From coordinating and allocating you with a therapist, to ensuring our Therapists are supported - her role really is crucial in ensuring you get the best out of your YESS journey.

Sarah

Development Officer

Meet Sarah

Sarah's role is to provide business support to the charity, including service development, funding streams, marketing & human resources. She joined YESS in September 2022 having previously worked mainly in the medical sector, for private businesses and for the NHS in similar management support roles.

Julie

Founder

Meet Julie

Julie founded YESS back in 2011, and having led the charity for over 12 years, stepped down as CEO in June 2023. However, she remains the founder of YESS in a non-operational voluntary capacity. As well as this, Julie is a fully qualified therapist & supervisor.

Dawn

Meet Dawn

For the past 11 years, Dawn has worked with young people and their families within secondary education, as a teacher and pastorally. Dawn is an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor which means that she has trained in different modalities but uses a person-centred foundation. In Dawn's spare time, she is a part-time shepherdess and keen sportswoman - albeit that tends to be spectating rather than participating these days...

Asha is a trained psychodynamic psychotherapist, who has been qualified for 5 years. She started as a trainee at YESS before she qualified, and has stayed with us ever since!

Meet Neil

Neil is a trained art psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. Art therapy is an established form of psychological therapy which uses creative expression to support the service user. To work with an art therapist you do not need any previous art-making experience. Art therapists are regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Neil is also a member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT)

Charlie

Trainee Counsellor

Meet Charlie

Charlie is currently in her final year of a MSc in counselling children and young people at Northampton University. She applies an integrative approach allowing for a flexible approach through different modalities to your therapy. This application allows your therapy to be adapted to you as an individual. Charlie also works as a RSW for children and young people with challenging behaviours and learning disabilities. In her spare time Charlie enjoys spending time with her family and enjoying good food.

Senior Therapist/Dance Movement Psychotherapist & Deputy Safeguarding Lead

Meet Tammy

Tammy is a trained Dance Movement Psychotherapist. Dance Movement Psychotherapy is an established form of psychotherapy that uses body movement as a form of communication and creative expression to support the service user through a relational process. It offers opportunities for verbal and non-verbal reflection. You do not need to have any form of experience to work with a Dance Movement Psychotherapist. Dance Movement Psychotherapists are regulated by the Association of Dance Movement Psychotherapy which is a member of UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

Meet Rebecca

Rebecca has worked as a teacher for 25 years, in both the secondary and primary sector. She is now a trained person-centred counsellor, begining her councelling journey with YESS. Rebecca will be working with children, young people & adults. In her spare time she loves walking, swimming & travel!

Meet Harriet

Harriet is currently doing her Masters in Art Therapy. She enjoys the Theatre and loves to knit in her spare time!

Meet Dom

Dom is on placement at YESS as part of an MSc course in Counselling and Psychotherapy and he works in a person-centred way with his clients. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, writing, and playing piano for several music groups.

Ella

Placement Counsellor

Meet Ella

Ella is a trainee counsellor completing her counselling post graduate diploma at Staffordshire University. She works within the Person-Centred approach. This means clients are placed at the centre of our work in therapy together, empowering you on your journey through life and its obstacles and focusing on your needs as an individual, and even more importantly, your needs as a human being. Ella is very interested and involved in spirituality and hopes to explore existential therapy more as her career evolves.
